How long do you want to spend at Ayers Rock? If you time it right and just spend one night there ( which easily gives time to visit the rock and climb it if desired ) , you could do

MEL-PER and then do PER-AYQ-CNS. TO get to SYD, I would then just suggest purchasing a ticket since that can be done for < AUD200
