Empire Builder: westbound or eastbound?
I'm thinking of cashing in a few AGR points for a sleeper room on the Empire Builder now that it's Amtrak's flagship long-distance route.

Which direction offers the best opportunity for sightseeing and the best overall experience? Is it better to leave from Seattle/Portland or Chicago, or does it not make a difference?
