Schengen visa to enter France
I would like to direct the following questions to those who successfully obtained a Schengen (short-stay) visa to enter France, or anyone knowledgeable on this issue:
1) The embassy site says that they need a "reservation with detailed itinerary" when I apply for a visa. I can obtain an itinerary from my travel agency. However, I only purchased my ticket to Frankfurt; I will buy a ticket from Frankfurt to Paris online. My question is how will I show them my itinerary from Frankfurt to Paris since it's sold online? If I told my travel agent to book this flight from Frankfurt-Paris, thereby allowing itinerary and then present it to the embassy, can I still make changes to this itinerary when my visa is issued? Will it be denied simply because my tickets have deviated from the original itinerary?
2) The embassy also requires "a letter from your insurance company, stating that you will be covered for at least $37,000 during your stay in Europe for any medical and repatriation expenses." From your experience, how fast was it to obtain this document? Did you experience any difficulties at all?
I would really appreciate if anyone could answer these questions, as I plan to travel from May 23-30, approximately in a month's time. Thank you in advance.
