I went through security in terminal 2 and proceeded to gate E5 and the awaiting Airbus 380.

This is very unusual ... LH at terminal 2. Will the LH A380 in the future depart at this terminal?

The captain came on the speakers and told us we would be flying slower than normal not to reach JFK too early
Later in the flight the captain came on again with the following message “On the left side is a small Boeing 747 from British Airways that we are about to overtake”

Is the A380 faster then B 747, B 777
