Was interesting to see the different "local" merchandise at the Costco in Lihue compared to Kona. We've been Costco members since 1989 (back in California when it was Price Club). You can't beat Costco's quality and (of course) they're wonderful return policy. It was also interesting to see that prices on alot of merchandise in Hawaii was the SAME as in CT (frozen foods, fresh meats were about the same, maybe a few cents higher, was very surprised at that). Bought a few "impulse items" on trip and we didn't use them.. when we got back home returned them to our local Costco... no problems at all.
We always stop in for pizza, soda and a look=see when we're on vacation ... nice to compare.
