We have a FF trip scheduled on United in May to Hawaii. On the return we will stop in Los Angeles and drive to Las Vegas. Easy 5 hour drive. We did this on the return leg from Australia last year and it worked great. Returned to LA a day ahead of last leg to JFK and stayed at airport hotel.
