I wouldn't switch an airline simply because they explicitly offer an "executive meal" option without first asking the FA on my home airline if they could accommodate me. Just because they don't have a spelled out meal option like that doesn't mean they wouldn't do it for you if you asked.

Oh, and connecting through EWR is such a joy.
