I don't think I've ever had a problem with a QF crew. Certainly, some are better than others but they get their job done. I have noticed that some FA's make beds in 1st and some don't, some FA's are like on wheels going through the 1st cabin making sure that everyone has their wine glasses filled and plenty of everything else that pax may need. Can't comment on coach service though.

As far as comparing QF service to SQ or other Asian carriers then it is important to keep in mind that Asian attitude to service is a bit different. Qantas FA's have something called job security which means that they can't be fired for being unhelpful to pax while in Asia it is very different in this respect.
