Here's my best recollection of the actual MI standard, as it was updated almost a year ago --
3 types of rooms get Nightly Refresh service:
1. Concierge/Executive/Suites
2. Any room assigned to a Plat
3. Any room where the guest has specifically requested it
Nightly refresh service should include
-closing the curtains
-turning lights on
-emptying trashes (I think?)
-The bed should not be touched, since with the new bed there is no polyester cover to turn down. (This is the reason for the name change from turndown to refresh)
-Properties are encouraged, but not required, to mix up the amenity, preferably with something of local significance. i.e. a praline in New Orleans, choc covered coffee beans in Seattle, etc.
