Since I'm a poor college student and hotels in Vegas on the Strip were running extremely expensive for the weekend I'm going (I think the cheapest was around $200/night for some of the dumpier hotels), I decided to book at the Holiday Inn Express for $100 (only there for 1 night) that is just off of W. Russell Road (it was cheap, reviews looked good, I don't mind having to pay $7 each way to the strip, since there's a Shuttle during the day, so it would only be one round-trip). Since it's right off of I-15 pretty much due west of Terminal 1, is the tunnel the best way to go, or is it better to take Tropicana over and around (seems like the freeway is faster in this instance, but a bit longer distance-wise).
