Not all the info you need but here's some: Passed through there going both ways in November (ORD-FRA was one leg of a three leg trip). Didn't check bags (see below) but everything else was easy, efficient, and quick (well, except that awful, pointless interview at the check-in desk on the way back). Passport control was literally empty except for us when we went through. It seemed to me that people who had checked bags got them pretty fast since they showed up in the Cathay lounge not too awfully long (10 min or so) after we did. YMMV, of course.
