I just checked LH's webpage. There it still says 40 min for Y in FRA - no matter whether you choose a counter or a machine.
Anyway: For all my intra-German and most of my intra-European travel the change mentioned by you does not mean anything to me. Without any luggage to check I still will print my BP and be at the apt. 20 min before departure. Worked perfectly up to today - without any time wasted.
Btw: 20 / 30 min for DTM? URGH. I do know this airport since this month. IMHO 5 min would be sufficient. That airport is nothing more than a slightly bigger 1-room condo.
