I think it's all about what works for each individual. An emergency trip is always a good use of miles - definitely a great value. Otherwise, it very much depends (e.g. award trips to HI are good, but availability is scarce, so they're not always the best option). Intra-EU awards are often a pretty good value with plenty of availability.

I think that overall the award chart is fair and reasonable. Here and there there are some discrepancies though. E.g. flights originating in EU - a PerkSaver coach RT to DXB is 70k, which I think is way too much considering you can use 70k to get all the way to HI (pretty much across the world). These discrepancies are rare, but if we talk about the value of WP miles it's a pertinent consideration.
