I wil try the Mix Lounge when I am there next week ^ It's a shame it's so far up the strip, but it sounds like it might be worth the effort.
Quite welcome, of course. Have a good time. Also, Revolution Lounge at Mirage over by Cirque's Love show is great - just opened - no cover and fun graffiti tables to play with - very funky atmosphere. Tangerine at TI is fun with a nice outdoor deck overlooking the strip, although they have a cover charge much of the time (not always). ghostbar at Palms has a view rivaling Mix, but it's a cab ride away off the strip, and it can be a nightmare getting in. All in all, Mix is better. One of the new trends in Vegas lately has been "ultra lounges", so most of the MGM/Mandalay properties have some sort of new, hip lounge to go have a drink in. When you're at Mix, can also run downstairs to rumjungle and the often overlooked Red Square, if you haven't explored Mandalay before.
