Hello. I did a search but didn't come up with anything concrete.

We get the chance to stay in london over new year this year, but I'm looking for suggestions on where you would stay if you were going.

I've looked into the Hilton Trafalgar square ,due to it being the london equivelent of NY Time square, and as you can imagine it's very expensive.

Maybe to be "right there at the square" it would be worth the cost.
Not being from London , I've no clue as to what London's like on New Years eve etc.

For all I know there are other things worth doing on New Years eve other than being at Trafalga square....

I don't like the idea of having to travel far to get anywhere interesting when I am there so I'm keen to be centrally located.

We arrive onDec. the 30th and depart on Jan.the 2nd.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated
