I have always wondered why the LCC do not offer these kind of programs more often. Of course, Vueling is not the first company in doing this, but as far as I know, not too many of them have a FF program. Among them, I can remember know Air Berlin o Virgin Blue in Australia. I don't want to include here airlines subsidiary of major airlines (like Clickair in relation to Iberia, or Jetstar with Qantas), where it is possible accumulate points in the program of the parent airline.
I consider that this is a very good idea in order to strengthen client loyalty. Why other big LCC like easyjet or ryanair don't have one?
You might be interested to know that Mike Barger, president and one of the founders of JetBlue Airways, is on the board of directors over at Vueling. I really don't know if this means anything but I thought I'd let you know.
