Noticing that Qantas telephone sales staff in Oz are getting rude!
I called in to Qantas today to ask for an upgrade using my 'upgrade credit' for my flight between Melbourne and Sydney.
1. The sales staff was downright rude and condescending.
2. Had no idea what I was talking about.
3. Had no idea what class an upgrade is to be booked in.
4. We're full as it is, do you think we will upgrade you, attitude and tone?
5. We don't care as we're it now!
Okay further to my post on the Oneworld board, I found out today that QF has streamlined the booking codes for upgrades and award flights. They're now "U" for Business Class. It used to be "D" and that you'd have to fight to get that booked with upgrade from FF members who used to use the same class of service.
So the upgrade lists get shorter now than before.
