LapLap, you may laugh at this, but see if you can still buy a wool blanket and/or poncho in London. Real wool keeps you warmer when you are inactive. The polyester stuff doesn't. Think of a warm wool blanket on your bed on a cold night.

Also I'm sure Katja can advise you on what to sit on. You don't want bunches of fabrics which might cause you to be uncomfortable.

I am a big believer in wool. It is very cold in my part of Texas now. I have a hand made wool cap on my head.... in the office.... it really does help.

My old auntie used to say that her aches and pains always felt better when she worn wool. Now that I am getting up to Old myself, I can agree with her.

Some man made fabrics can cause you to sweat which will make you chilled and uncomfortable.

This may be your perfect excuse to buy cashmire.

Britain used to have the most fabulous wool items. I hope it is still true for your benefit.
