Personally, I wouldn't pay for the miles. Miles are far to easy to get to pay for them like that. Though I'm sure you will find people willing to pay - this is about the same rate as the Ameniti $295 for 25,000 mile promo.
I think that United's CFO reported at the JP Morgan aviation conference last month that the amended expiration rules for MP would lead to a one time benefit in the region of c$170m - that could help give some frame of reference to the value per mile if you could figure out how many miles the one time benefit related to, at least from an accounting perspective....
