Drone, Currently only LAX/SFO to Europe have a breakfast choice. There used to be a choice on ORD-LHR but all of the passengers only wanted a cold breakfast, so they could sleep later. Hot choice was discontinued on that flight based on FA feedback. (They are quick to listen to our feedback that saves them money-but slow to act on enhancements!) As far as I can remember we have never served hot breakfast on IAD-LHR flights, due to the short time between meal services as a prior poster has mentioned.
I think there *might* be midflight snacks on LHR-ORD flights in UB, but not on east coast flights. They might be a scaled back version of what is offered on west coast flights.
Regarding the breakfast bread choices, I think they streamlined the offerings as, lets face it, no one likes to be barraged with questions as they are waking up. But one alternate bread would be nice! I would ..... about this to the catering dept but my current battle is for them to eliminate grape jelly with the croissants out of the west coast. And more bottled water. And better midflight snacks.
