Any particular reason for 1B?
The OP is advised to get to the BKK lounge ASAP especially if relying on (1) the showers, and (2) the desk top computers for internet access. The lounge is likely to be busy with joining passengers and will fill to overflowing with BA & QF transit passengers. It is not one of the more pleasant lounge experiences. This may change when the F lounge opens (but I doubt it).
I suspected this might be the case, looks like it will be a quick pace to the lounge in BKK.
Do either of you know whether I will have to take all my personal effects off during the BKK stop? I have rather a heavy carry-on, and would rather just take a few small items off if possible.
