I found that My Maps feature many useful tools beyond simply giving directions and finding businesses nearby. I now use it to map most of my day-trips (by car) in Europe.
Anyone knows a way to save My Maps onto a local drive so that I can use it without internet hook-up? Have not tried to email it to myself yet. Wonder if that works.
