I love FNT's airport. Its really the only airport I know of where I can be shopping with my family at Kroger's about 4 miles from the airport 45 minutes prior to depature and then be like "well, let's think about heading down to the airport" (True story!). Unfortunately, I have been flying into DTW almost exclusively for the last year because of relatively high fares DCA-DTW-FNT compared to DCA-DTW.

I have really never had a problem at the airport, although my parents have had a problem when winter 06 one of their deicer trucks was broken so that deicing took forever and they misconnected in DTW.
