The ANA website has a tool with which you can search Star Alliance award inventory according to their program, which is usually somewhat similar to the availability of United, with some exceptions. On the United website there is no way to search for Star Alliance awards, which is why it is such a benefit.

1K is a Premier Executive 100K, which is the highest published status level at United. It is for people that accrue 100K EQM's a year on United.
