Are you saying that the pilot actually flys the aircraft and doesn't turn it on autopilot and the computers do the rest? These are not the days of Wiley Post where the pilot flew by the seats of their pants.(thank goodness) Pilots have a lot of assistance getting the aircraft through space.
I'm not saying it doesn't take some skill and talent, but I think you have an overated opinion of pilots. Just my opinion of course.
