One of my favorite memories involving asparagus involves the cream of asparagus soup that was served at my friends' wedding reception in Potsdam, Germany. That soup was served as a post-dinner snack
at 1:00 am!!! 
Man, that was a fun wedding!

Around the first of May in Bavaria that white asparagus comes to market. I use to walk to the town everyday to get it. Loved to visit at this time of year for the flowers and the veggies.
