I had a two hour connection and barely made it. I'm a Premier Executive and always travel in C when international.
I have no idea about immigration lines for non-U.S. citizens/residents -- I just don't pay attention.
Second this.
So far this year, I've needed every minute of my connection times, twice, at ORD. Both times the baggage was the hangup--I waited 40 and 35 minutes for my bags, and that's with Priority tags on it, travelling in C.
I'd say that if I booked 1 hr 25 minutes, I'd want to be very sure there were later flights available to my destination cause I'd give myself a 50-50 chance of making my booked connection.
