I have an eight hour connection at IAD in a couple of weeks. I would really like to take a photo or two of the White House and Washington Monument as well as a quick visit to the Udvar-Hazy Center. I have checked the IAD website as well as running a search here but can find no reference to any left luggage facilities.

I could understand if it was not permitted because of security but I hope that I am missing something and facilities do exist. Having to carry my hand baggage (and hold luggage if unable to check through from NRT with NH onto LHR with BA on separate tickets) around would be a major PITA.
