I wasn't sure whether to append here or on the tuna sandwich thread.

We've had a couple new sub chains open locally in the past year.

Mrs BamaVol and I tried Fire House Subs back in the fall. We only ordered one sub and split it. We were both satisifed, but I don't recall what we ordered.

Last night, BamaVol Jr #3 and I tried Lenny's. I had been given a couple 2 for 1 coupons and figured what the heck. Miss BamaVol, who works closeby, had said to expect something similar to Jersey Mikes, an outlet where she worked back in Charlotte. BV3 ordered the Italian and I ordered Tuna. I was pleased when the sandwich maker told BV3 that they did not recommend mustard or mayo on the Italian. However, the hot pepper relish overwhelmed the flaovr of the cold cuts. On the other hand, the hot pepper relish did not add enough flavor to the bland tuna. And this is my biggest complaint about tuna salad ordered out - mayonaise does not flavor tuna! - you must add relish, onions, salt, pepper, paprika, something for gawdsakes or it just tastes like canned tuna and mayonaise.

So: Lenny's unless I figure out what and how to order there for a superior sub experience.
