A "Free Ticket" that earns WP miles: Experience flying NW w/TCF Bank Miles Plus?

Does anyone have experience flying on NW using TCF Bank "Miles Plus Reward Program" points? These are free points that are earned when using the TCF Bank Visa Business Check Card ($1 = 1 point, etc.).

I was very surprised to read in TCF's FAQ that I will earn standard FF miles on the free/award ticket. Obviously, that's great (considernig that it's a "free" ticket (free business checking/never an annual fee/rewards program is free w/free Business Checking account). But I'm skeptical about the true nature of these tickets/miles. Unfortunately, there's no info about what class the tickets are booked in until after you book. I'd be flying all NW metal.

So, my question is two fold:
a) Does the fact that I'm earning regular FF miles mean that I'm also definitely eligible for elite upgrades (i.e., does NW have a class of ticket on NW metal that allows WP accrual but not upgrades)?

b) Will I earn EQM as well as RDM? And will I earn elite bonus on RDM? i.e., Does NW have any class of ticket that earns RDM but not EQM on its own metal, or RDM w/no elite bonus? Obviously, all of their published classes on NW metal earn at least 100% EQM and RDM and all seem to be eligible for elite bonus. But is there a hidden class or something that isn't listed there?
While I suspect that the answer to both bold questions above is 'no,' it's something I've never encountered before and wanted to get input. Thanks in advance if anyone has thoughts or experience w/this.
