Question household accounts and updating e-mail address

Recently I set up household account combing all members in the family. When I tried to update the e-mail address, I always get an error message. After reading the household account application form more carefully, I found it says that “any change must be initiated by primary member and by writing”. So I guess the error message is caused by this rule.

Has anybody had similar problems? Is there anyone that can update e-mail address with household account? Please let me know.
