Question upgraded morning snack in FC (?)

I experienced something new today...not sure if it is new service/upgrade with the new month, or just new to me.

I flew MKE-DEN in FC. We had the typical breakfast snack basket (muffins, granola bars and bananas on the MKE-MSP leg.

I noticed my reservation was listed as 'snack' for the MSP-DEN leg. What was served was a tray containing cheerios, yogurt, and a bagel with cream cheese. There was also milk for the cereal and a glass of OJ.

This is similar to the breakfast option I've had on longer flights. In this case, there was no choice. This is much more extensive than the snack basket.

Is this a new service or just new to me? Either way, I like it.
