If you have gotten this far everything will probably work out fine. Fairbanks is far different then SEA-OAK/SFO.
My main comment is to look competitively and exactly what
channa says. You may be better off just booking the flights by putting them on hold. However, you will have no flexibility like with the group reservations. It is worth a call to AS and if you happen to be flying on a Wednesday it may work for your whole group.
