In the past, it's been Piper-Heidsiek, but not sure what might have been served recently... I'm guessing the European flights continuing to have Champagne is due to the NWA/KLM service standards agreement.

There is a lot of really terrible (and really wonderful) Champagne out there, folks. Just because it's from Champagne doesn't necessarily make it good. Prosecco and sparklers from CA can be excellent and a significantly better value.
