Should I phone UK or the US number? (I'm reluctant to use the form since the stay has posted just as non qualifing).

Its very odd, I've stayed at the same hotel countless times before, on the same rate and every time it has posted as qualifing (both for nights and points). Now the one time it would be a trigger stay for a decent promotion it posts as non qualifing - despit also being the highest nightly cost of the stays on the rate/tarrif!
I would start by using the form requesting missing points/miles, and hopefully you will receive a mail apologising for any inconvenience and your account balance will be adjusted. In the worse possible case, you will get an e-mail from an individual repeating the bad news. In which case, you can then either ring Ambassador Services or send them an e-mail (very politely and ideally sounding disturbed/amazed) arguing your case again. To date, this has always been successful for me. Good luck.
