More on connecting in CDG

Not sure where to post this but...

For background, arriving to, leaving from, or connecting in Terminal 1 was a breeze in the past.

About 2 years ago most (all?) international flights were forcibly moved to Terminal 2, usually arriving/departing from 2E.After a short period the 2E building collapsed, and they started bussing you to a remote location for departing or arriving. Takes 30+ minutes, plus extra security lines to pass through, running slowly as only a French security line staffed by people determined to make a statement can run them.

Last week while connecting from NW to/from AF we found that things had actually worsened. NOW they also bussed us from the domestic terminal 2F to our plane at a different remote location.

It is hard to understand why after 2 years they haven't rebuilt 2E and solved this problem. But we acquired some insight from an expatriate American now living with her French husband in France. It seems that no one knows why 2E collapsed, so instead of designing a new safe structure they are just "thinking". For 2 years, and maybe for years to come. Vive la France.
