Input from the inside is that this was a long time coming as both Heyer and Benito were not pleasant people to work for. Heyer created a culture of fear and just fired anyone who disagreed with him. I guess enough complaints got to the board for them to react.

This is good for Starwood. Whether they end up getting bought or just go on thier own, they will operate much better now that they are gone.
