I'm looking for opinions on whether or not the women of FT wear their jewelry while traveling to foreign countries -- Europe, Asia, beach resorts, etc.

I'm not a jewelry collector by any means -- I wear diamond stud earrings, a nice watch, and my engagement ring and wedding band -- all the time -- I never take them off except for cleaning them. However, my engagement ring diamond is big (an upgrade after 20 years from my loving husband), and certain friends have tried to convince me to leave it at home when I travel.

Everything is insured (if that makes a difference).
