Yep, you are all right. I gave the TA the rules excerpt from the pdf version of the oneworld rules linked from the sticky, and he backtracked, apologising profusely! Very pleased with that outcome, but surprised as the agent seemed to know what he was talking about otherwise.

Also, christep - that is a good suggestion re: JL, as one of my hops into HKG isn't really necessary. I had forgotten about JL altogether whilst planning, as I was originally going to get this ticketed prior to 31 March. Thanks!
