I visit NZ approx every 6 weeks; the highest fare I have paid in that time was $265 MEL-AKL.

It does help that these are scheduled visits and I can take advantage of specials. Also, note that April is the a School Holiday season which does not really finish until 29th.

Last month I purchased on Qantas MEL-AKL, AKL-MEL-AKL, AKL-MEL-AKL and AKL-MEL for June, July & August. Respective costs (in AUD) for the four bookings were $253, $412, $412 & $189.

These flights will earn me 9858 base QFF points + 9858 WP Bonus (19716 total) and 120 SC's.
