Explain this, Yield Management Gurus (Seats Aplenty; no discount to HKG)
Flight CO99
Tue., Apr. 3, 2007 at 3:00 p.m.
Equipment - Boeing 777-200ER
New York/Newark, NJ (EWR - Liberty) to Hong Kong (HKG)
Looking at the seat chart (I know that's not always reliable) for the above flight, there are about 80 unsold seats in coach. Yet RT air fare tops $2000. Not that I am interested in going to Hong Kong again this soon, but what gives with that pricing? Less than 24 hours out with that many unsold seats, why isn't CO discounting?
