This is just an idle curiousity type question because I know it doesn't really matter too much from a benefits standpoint.

I turned Platinum @ Nov of last year. There are two HI's I stayed in a couple of times before November. When I checked into both within the last two weeks, they still had me as Gold. One acknowledged me as a Gold member and gave me a drink coupon, the other didn't acknowledge any Priority Club status and gave me a room smaller than the one I'd reserved (although it had a bottle of water and snacks in it and the one I was moved to after asking for a bigger room didn't). I didn't say anything - I don't think either hotel has any kind of premium rooms to upgrade to.

My acct says platinum and I'm getting the extra platinum points, so why do these hotels not update customer statuses? It's been 6 months. Just curious if anybody knows...
