What I really don't like when renting Europcar at weekends is that they do charge you for an additional driver unless you are already First Card customer. As my wife want's to drive as well when we rent on weekends this is a really disadvantage, because LH CC CDW only works if the driver is named in the rental agreement. So Sixt is much better here. It's a bit strange with Hertz as they don't charge for spouse in the US but in Europe…

Once I had a quite long discuccion with LH insurance and amex insurance about the second driver. To make it short: we couldnt agree on a solution. insurance says driver has to be mentioned but its not necessary to pay extra for that. rental company says, you have to pay extra. doesnt make sense
however, I think totti is sixt platin, right? Just send a nice formulated letter with a copy of your sixt platin to europcar and within 2 weeks you get a firstcard. did it end of january and got the card middle of feb.
since then they are not trying to give me a-classes for cpmr anymore but immediately offer 3series. (and the second driver is included)
btw, all the other benefits of the firstcard are completely useless. who would spend 210e on an a4 convertible and be happy that this is a 15% discount??
