These are real tradeoffs. Air France for me is a nice compromise -- better service standards and food than the rest of skyteam and they don't extort on the scale of BA. But you have fly through CDG, which is rarely pleasant.

I'm curious to see the note about reasonable J fares on AF. I haven't seen anything for less than $3200 on the SEA-CDG nonstop. Am I missing something?
