Another way for Southwest to make more revenue could be to charge for carry-on luggage in the overhead bins. Maybe an extra $5 and your boarding pass gets denoted with a special mark. I don't think this works. More checked luggage at the gate delays flights and would further erode WN's "quick" turns, which have already been expanded to 25-30-35 minutes.
