I fly internationally 2/3 times a year. I fly 20 times within the US/Canada. If I were on other airlines I would be in FC maybe 7-10 within US and 2 times internationally. What I prefer is to use my miles for international upgrades (if it is beyond AMS) otherwise I like knowing domestically that I will be upgraded 19 out of 20 flights - for no additional cost.
