Do you/ your husband golf? If so, Mission Hills is a must (there are tons of great golf courses in the greater Shenzhen area). I've been to a couple of temples in the area and have done lots of shopping. I spend a lot of time in the area but do very little outside of work (and shopping but my best shopping have been when I'm with someone who is Chinese).

I have enjoyed some wonderful foot massages (cheap, wonderful foot massages) and shampoo times (I know it sounds bizarre but it is so relaxing to be shampooed, massaged, shampooed, massaged, ahhh).

Are you planning on staying the entire six days in Guanzhou? Are you doing both segments of the fair? Feel free to PM me for any specifics. Is this your husband's first time?
