On International non-stops, the tags seem to have an effect. On at least 18 flights to NRT from DTW, my bags almost always have been among the first few off the plane. OTOH, in the days of the DTW-SEL non-stops, the baggage handlers at Kimpo seemed to take a perverse pleasure in unloading WBC bags last. As I said, the tags seem to have an effect, just not always the desired one
