I just flew RT JFK - NRT in c class. They put the orange "priority" stickers on the checked bag tags. When I got to NRT they had a rep waiting for me on the jetway with a sign (she told me that it was because I am plat - as it turns out the only plat on board) and she escorted me till passport control (which was empty - a surprise for NRT). My bags came off in the first minute.
On my return flight there was no escort (which I really didn't expect anyway) and I had to wait 25 minutes after bags started coming off for my "priority" bags. Most of the people had collected their bags and gone through customs already. What is the good of the "Priority" stickers if you have to wait till the end for them to come off? It looks like "priority" stickers doesn't mean "priority handling" for a platinum member flying C class.
