Actually I stayed there last July, for what what I could find one of the cheapest rates at my elite status chains at that time. I got a floor 10-ish bay view room, free internet, breakfast in the executive lounge. All in all, not bad for Tokyo prices.

Unfortunately, the lounge seemed to be closed in the evenings although they gave me drinks downstairs free (I forgot how many coupons). I also have no idea which was the executive floor, and whether I actually got it.

As far as everyone saying it is very far away from everything, maybe that would be in terms of anything on the west side of town like Shibuya and Shinjuku. From my vantage point, which is the office in Shimbashi, it's actually not bad (35-40 minutes by train).
